Center
for Nanoscale Chemical-Electrical Mechanical Manufacturing Systems
One of the primary missions of the Center for Nanoscale
Chemical-Electrical Mechanical Manufacturing Systems is to develop a diverse
workforce of educators, scientists, engineers, and practitioners to advance
nano-manufacturing technology in the United States and around the world.
City
Technology
City Technology introduces children across the country to the basics of
design technology through curriculum materials, teacher resources, and
professional development. Children do projects with Mechanisms, Maps,
Signs, Symbols & Codes, Packaging, and their own Designed Environments.
Children develop the core concepts and skills of everyday technologies.
We are a group of teachers and children, engineers, staff developers,
and folks at the home of City Technology, City College of NY.
Design
Squad
Unleash your kids' ingenuity and get them thinking like engineers with
these 10 Design Squad challenges. Designed for 9-12 year olds, each challenge
has step-by-step instructions and age-appropriate explanations of the
main idea.

Engineering
Education Service Center (EESC)
The EESC provides consulting, publications and workshops and presentations
that promote engineering for K-16.
Engineering
is Elementary
The Engineering is Elementary (EiE) project aims to foster engineering
and technological literacy among children. EiE is creating a research-based,
standards-based, and classroom-tested curriculum that integrates engineering
and technology concepts and skills with elementary science topics. EiE
materials also connect with literacy, social studies, and mathematics.
Through interesting engineering design challenges children are invited
to apply their knowledge of science, engineering, and their problem solving
skills, as they design, create, and improve possible solutions. The Engineering
is Elementary project also helps elementary school educators enhance their
understanding of engineering concepts and pedagogy through professional
development workshops and resources.
