About MERC Online

What is Our Mission?
To increase the national impact of the reform and improvement of Engineering Technology education through the dissemination of model programs, educational strategies, and instructional curricula and materials via electronic clearinghouses and organized activities for the Engineering Technology community.

What is MERC Online?
An electronic clearinghouse for easy distribution of exemplary educational materials for manufacturing educators. We strive to improve technician education nationally by disseminating model programs, educational strategies, instructional curricula, best practices, and classroom materials. We serve as a source of materials, support services, and professional development opportunities for educators and industry professionals.

How long has MERC Online been around?
Funded in 2003 by the National Science Foundation under the Advanced Technological Education program, the Manufacturing Education Resource Center (MERC Online) was established as a service of the National Center for Manufacturing Education (NCME). For more than a decade, the NCME has been a leading provider of information, materials, and professional development opportunities for manufacturing educators.
